THE HOLIDAY APARTMENT IS NEAR ORTIGIA (CLOSE TO THE ORTIGIA BRIDGE) but not in ortigia so no closed to traffic as Ortigia infact it has not the problems linked to ortigia (traffic closed, impossiblity to find parking and always payment or resident parking)

Syracuse:
the most ancient and magnificent of

Syracuse is rich of archaelogical, historical sites and natural parks. In Syracuse there are Greek and Roman archaelogical sites (at about less then 1km far from the holiday apartment) with a still performing greek theatre that is about 1km far from the holiday apartment. Few steps away there are Roman amphitheatre, the ear of Dionigi, the latomy of the cappuccini,the museum Paolo Orsi, the egiptian museum.... The bright apartament is in the heart of Siracusa, in historical place close to the bridge that links Ortigia (the historical island) to the city.
In the neighbourhood there are restaurants with
typical or international food, bars and pizzerias, shops with
typical Sicilian products (food and crafts), internet points
and everything you need for a comfortable holiday.
In
Siracusa you can mix art, history, sea, nature and food with
the warm Sicilian hospitality!

The apartment is in Syracuse, 300 metres far from plate rocks with possibility to sun bath and swimmimg. at about 800m there is the equipped solarium Zen. a small beach, tourist harbour with possibility of marine excursions and taxi boat for the beaches out syracuse Shops closeby as well as restaurants. A hospital is at 1 km
The airport at about 60 km (pick up from the airport is possible, We can arrange a taxi for you from Catania airport for 40 euros!)
Bus stop at 400 meters, Train station at 1 km.
Going west there is "Pantalica" a necropolis of the Bronze Age, located on impressive canyons, and "Palazzuolo", the inland Greek outpost. To the south there is the barocco capital of "Noto" (Unesco world heritage), with its magnificient urban views, and the natural park of "Vendicari", facing the sea, where the natural environment is still untouched. Sea resorts are in "Fontane Bianche" and "Arenella", they can be also reached by bus.
Noto (Unesco world heritage for its baroque) 35km, Modica-Ragusa 70km, Catania/Etna 60km, Taormina 110km. Agrigento with the "valley of temples" at about 210km, Piazza Armerina with "Villa Casale" and its finest collection of Roman mosaics, is at about two hours drive.
